Fees for patients enrolled with Tarawera Medical Centre for a standard consult. This includes telephone and video consults.

Extended consults or multiple problem consults may be charged according to time used.

  • Smear test           Free
  • Sexual Health/Contraception   Free if aged 16-25
  • Minor Surgery      Free if eligible. Costs otherwise depend on procedure and will be quoted in advance.

Repeat Prescriptions (enrolled patients only)

  • Next day routine repeat   $12
  • Urgent same day script   $17
  • No fax surcharge. We believe that the practice of charging punitive fax surcharges to remove patient choice by coercing the use of a specific pharmacy is unethical.

Repeat scripts can be ordered via email, written forms available at the Medical Centre, Tarawera Pharmacy or Kawerau Pharmacy, or phone.
